Vientiane, a "fisherman town"

I went to Vientiane, Laos last week.
Our initial plan was Luang Prabang. However, we only manage to book a 4 days 3 nights flight ticket, and due to the road condition of Laos, from Vientiane to Laos, actually take about 8-10 hours drive. We were shocked, and thought that it is not that practical to go to Luang Prabang, since we only have around 3 days total.

When we reach Vientiane, the first impression was, look at the wire....:p

This is called That Dam. Its like a round about in the city.
Tuk-Tuks everywhere.
Patuxai - the victory monument.
Monk at Patuxai.
Some tourist, i guess its from Thailand.
The main road in Vientiane. The end of this road, is the president's mansion.
A relax afternoon.
Some souvenier sold in Patuxai.
This is taken from the top floor of Patuxai. I thought its nice.
The Lao style Salad. Something like the Thai Papaya Salad.
We were walking to another temple called That Luang, and pass by the Malaysia Embassy.
The entrance of That Luang .
That Luang Temple.
A white "temple" outside That Luang Temple. But we can't enter.
Someone selling pirated CD and VCD.
Relaxing at the Patuxai square. We too sat here and rest for a while, when we were walking back to town, passing Patuxai again.
Dinner alone the Mekong River. Not to be missed Beer Lao.

End of day one in Loa. We slept really well after a long walk. (To be continue)
